
Millions of Americans choose to engage in yoga for weight loss
Most of us want more out of life, from money and power to love and friendship. But the one thing that nobody wants in excess is body mass. This is one of the reasons why so many people choose weight loss as a New Year's resolution. Getting fit, toned and trim is the goal of countless Americans, millions of whom have turned to the holistic Eastern regimen of yoga to shed unwanted weight.
The program incorporates breathing, meditating, stretching and posing as a way to help individuals feel calmer and more centered. Yoga has helped people who are coping with depression and anxiety, as well as with a number of medical conditions like fibromyalgia and back pain.
The benefits of the regimen don't stop there. In addition to positive physical effects, yoga can strengthen the mind and spirit.
