Instructor Joan Nichols told the Penfield Post that yoga can help people from all walks of life feel more confident and empowered.
"It can help anybody in any situation, on and off the mat," she said, quoted by the news source. "Every day I get to come [into my yoga studio] and it feels like Christmas."
Recently, Nichols taught yoga sessions to the local basketball team to help them prevent injuries and strengthen their bodies.
