This can help nurses increase their job opportunities
Many people in the nursing profession are compelled to increase their education further, because they are committed to personal growth within the industry. However, some individuals may have difficulty getting an advanced degree in the subject due to their schools' offerings.
The Great Falls Tribune reports that the University of Great Falls (UGF) is offering a registered nurse-to-bachelor's of science in nursing degree completion program that will allow people to continue where they left off in their academics.
The program is designed to help individuals who have completed an associate's degree in nursing but want to further their knowledge with a bachelor's degree. As some people will find that an advanced certification could lead to more job opportunities, it is important to give individuals the extra push they need to reach their goals.
"There are a lot more job opportunities that are available to them when they get their bachelor's," Pam Huso, the program's director, told the news provider.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that bachelor's degrees in nursing can offer more clinical experiences outside of a hospital.
