George Fox University's School of Education announced that it will offer an educational specialist (EdS) degree for people who are already employed in the field in Oregon but want to expand their reach to others through online learning.
This new program is a great option for those who have already received a master's in education degree but are looking to expand their knowledge. Individuals can complete the program in two to three years.
“The program should be attractive to MAT-prepared in-service educators, who now make up about 80 percent of the pre-service teachers leaving Oregon teacher educator programs and entering the PK-12 educational work force,” said Scot Headley, chair of George Fox’s Educational Foundations and Leadership department.
